Katia Minaev is an Austrian/Russian actress. She recently graduated from the Lee Strasberg Institute of Theatre and Film Institute in New York. Growing up, she had always been an active child, which led her to play tennis on a professional level until the age of sixteen. During that time, she received a sponsorship to attend the IMG Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy. Alongside tennis, Katia found her passion for acting, which has become a major part of her life ever since. In Vienna, she began to study acting and had the opportunity to be mentored by Martin Kušej at the National Theatre of Austria. Now, Katia is excited to continue her journey in New York and bring her skills to Film and TV projects. She wants to connect with the world and tell stories that inspire!
Aside from her professional life, Katia has a diverse range of hobbies and passions. When she is not working, you can find her playing the piano, participating in a game of volleyball, or hitting the slopes for some skiing. She also enjoys painting and exploring different forms of art.
As a UNICEF Ambassador, Katia is passionate about volunteer work and giving back to her community.

“In watching Katia's work over the past six weeks, I have found her to be a unique talent and someone who works hard at creating truthful stories. Katia has a powerful inner voice and is willing to take chances in her performances.”
